Unlocking the Door Consultation Project

The Unlocking the Door report was designed to be a source of evidence-based analysis on which the community can draw on in an organised, respectful discussion pertaining to the sustainable economic, social and cultural development of Broome, the West Kimberley and the wider Kimberley Region. The Unlocking the Door Consultation Project is designed to facilitate this discussion. Funded by Broome Future and a Lotterywest grant, this project revolves around a series of community and economy sector specific workshops, as well as open community forums, that are designed to facilitate candid discussion on challenges and opportunities facing those sectors and the community at large.

As each of these workshops and forums are finalised a report articulating the discussion that took place will be published on this page and can be downloaded by registering below.

Once all of the workshops and forums are complete, Broome Future Limited will host a conference designed to identify key elements of a sustainable economic, social and cultural development plan and development decision-making framework for Broome, the West Kimberley and the wider Kimberley Region.
